Comments: Again, thanks again for a great show for November Carl and Neal. Really did enjoy it. This show just proves that one can write some great songs at around two minutes in length. In contrast, Richard Harris' MacArthur Park at 7:28 min. and Janis Ian's song Stars at 7:32 min. Both great songs though! Neal, you could have gone out to lunch, almost, if you played them back to back. I have not heard Ms Stevens or Ms Mills for a long time. Thanks for that, I think. Wasn't Connie Stevens in a TV show at one time, I'm thinking 77 Sunset Strip? Or was that another pretty blond? Also, must admit, I have never heard the song Little Boxes. Where oh where was I? It has a cute jingle to it.
Admin reply: Thank you, Wally, for being an avid fan. One of the shortest shows we have ever done. "Little Boxes" has been recorded by so many artists but only The Women Folk version broke the Top 100 furing the 1960s. I just heard the song by an unknown artist, so the song is still out there. Keep rockin' Wally!

Comments: Great job Carl and Neal on November soundtrack of the 60's we your listeners have clocked you in at just under 2 minutes always love the song Little Boxes by Malvina Reynolds the first time I heard Little Boxes as a kid I thought it was a kiddy sing-along song as I grew older the song took on new meaning.
Stay safe out their guys.
Drew
Admin reply: Hello Drew...thanks for listening to the short songs up on www.the60sofficialsite.com
Could that be the quickest Soundtrack of the 60s in world history? Just a quizzical question for you. Again, Carl and I really appreciate your tuning in and counting the length of each and every song! Just kidding. Thanks Drew.

Comments: Carl and Neal, I just read the sad news that longtime radio DJ Art Laboe pass away Friday October 7 he was credited with coining the phrase “oldies, but goodies in 1957 and started Original Sound Record, Inc. and in 1958, released the compilation album “Oldies But Goodies: Vol. 1," which stayed on the Billboard's Top 100 chart for 183 weeks. from what I have read about Art he was a talented man. just wonder if you or Neal have heard of Art Laboe? Thanks guys!
Art Loboe August 7, 1925 – October 7, 2022

Admin reply: Yes indeed I have heard of Al Laboe. I never received the news of death. I just read that he even did a show one week before his passing. He was 97. Thanks for sharing, Drew. He was a legend.

Comments: I love it so much it hurts to listen and see what is missing with today's generation. Served at the 8th RRU (Army Security Agency)1965-66 at Phu Bai. The 8th Enclave (Marines were next door). Visited Hue 2 times! God bless for what you have arranged for our enjoyment. 66993
Admin reply: Thank you, Cecil, for stopping by. Yes indeed this generation certainly is nothing like ours but I guess you can say ours was not the same as our parents or grandparents. The sixties were a great time to be part of. Welcome home brother.
