Comments: I love it so much it hurts to listen and see what is missing with today's generation. Served at the 8th RRU (Army Security Agency)1965-66 at Phu Bai. The 8th Enclave (Marines were next door). Visited Hue 2 times! God bless for what you have arranged for our enjoyment. 66993
Admin reply: Thank you, Cecil, for stopping by. Yes indeed this generation certainly is nothing like ours but I guess you can say ours was not the same as our parents or grandparents. The sixties were a great time to be part of. Welcome home brother.

Comments: Carl & Neal October Soundtrack of the 60's was a blast still is for those who haven't tune in yet.
One year for Halloween instead of carving out a pumpkin I bought one of those Groucho Marx joke glasses and those googly eyes a cheap costume wig cut the top of the wig off to allow the top of the pumpkin to show with tiny pins I attach the wig and glasses to the pumpkin and glued on the eyes. my pumpkin wasn't spooky, but it did get a lot of laughs.
Thanks, guys, for another enjoyable Soundtrack of the 60's
Drew
Admin reply: Thank you Drew for being a longtime fan of Soundtrack of the 60s. I bet Groucho the Pumpkin did in fact receive laughs and puns.
As you well know by now, Neal and I enjoy putting the Soundtrack of the 60s show together every month. Neal's voice and humor is present in each and every show. Keep Rockin' Drew.

Comments: Great site! I have a few things to add lol. 60s Slang: 'Gob' verb to spit. "I gobbed on her" 60s cartoons: The Archies, Bird Man, Abbott and Costello cartoon, King Kong cartoon, Spiderman cartoon
Admin reply: Thank you, Paul, for signing the guestbook. Even though I have never heard of the slang word "gob" I am sure it was popular in your neck of the woods. I have added the word to the 60s slang webpage.

Comments: Neal I just read sad news were another Baseball legend Maury Wills, pass away at age 89 on September 19, 2022, I'm sure you know he was the shortstop for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 60's and held the record for the most stolen base in 1962 and played in three World Series. (RIP) Maury Wills October 2, 1932 – September 19, 2022
Drew
Admin reply: Thank you Drew. I sure do remember one of the greatest base stealers of all time. So much fun to watch and see him run. I actually met Maury Wills at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia. I was a sportscasters at the time in Easton, Pennsylvania, and was in the Dodger dugout doing interviews. Maury was such a gentleman.
Thanks Drew. Keep rockin'!

Comments: Using Firefox and the connection is "not secure." This is preventing playing of most of the links on the site. Is there a work-around or fix for this? Love the site, it's in my favorites list but I have to use MS Edge to listen.
Admin reply: I do not recommend Firefox for The 60s Official Site. Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge works great and is secure.
