I really love October Soundtrack of the 60's. enjoyed the information on each of the songs Neal. Carl thanks for dusting off the original recordings of these great tunes some I haven't heard in decades. hopefully it will get more people to take part in "Vote for your favorite version of a song"? well done guys.
Drew
Admin reply: Thank you Drew for being a great fan of The 60s Official Site. I am delighted you enjoyed October's edition of Soundtrack of the 60s. It was a memory maker for Neal and me dusting off these old songs and putting the show together.

Comments: Super October show. Loved all the information about those great artist and the songs. Great songs never die, someone else just records them. Thank you both.
Admin reply: Thanks Wally and Lois. Great to hear the originals that were hits or later became hits by someone else. I enjoy different versions. Some are OK and some are not OK. We thank you for listening and rocking with Soundtrack of the 60s.
Stay healthy and well.

Comments: Great site, Carl. I found it again after a few years. I'm trying to find one story I previously read. It may have been on your ham site. It was the "How many marbles do you have left?" I'd love to read it again and pass it along.
Admin reply: Thank you Tony for stopping by. "1000 Marbles" is a great story.

Comments: The song "Make it Easy on Yourself" is one of Burt Bacharach and Hal David composition that remain timeless. I like both version here Yet the vocals of Scott Walker on this one and the over all arrangement of the Walker Brothers got my vote. thanks Carl
Drew
Admin reply: love both versions myself and a little partial to the Walker Brothers version. Thanks for voting and for signing the guestbook Drew.

Comments: How are you doing fine I hope ? I wondered if you ever heard of two bands by the name of Kids These Days and The Sundowner ? I remember a post that was made about ten years or so ago on a sixties garage band sit.e
Admin reply: Bobby Dick and The Sundowners also known as the Sundowners once toured with the Monkees in 1967. They broke up in 2010 I believe I don't recall Kids these Days.

Comments: Wow! It just doesn't get better than that. What great music. Brought back a lot of memories. I turned 14 in 1960 and probably started really listening when Elvis came out with "Heartbreak Hotel" in 56. I also started going "steady" with my wife in 1960 so we had a lot of slow dancing to some of those songs. (don't worry Neal, we broke up for four years before we did get married. Anyway, thanks to you, Carl and Neal, for doing a great show.
Admin reply: Thanks Wally. Never stop slow dancing with Lois. You guys shoulda' been on American Bandstand.
Glad you enjoy Soundtrack of the 60s. Carl can surely pick the tunes. I have fun doing the voice tracks.
We appreciate your listening and everyone else listening.
Rock On Wally & Lois!!!
