You Make the Choice
Throughout rock history there have been many versions of great
songs especially during the fifties and sixties decade. Each week we will look at two versions of a song and let
you decide which version you like the best. You can listen to each version before making your vote. Your vote will
determine the best version based on the total votes from the visitors to The 60s Official Site. The results
will be announced here and in the newsletter and a new song added for your vote for the following
week.
During last week's vote
you had a choice to vote on your favorite version of "Do You Want To
Dance?" The artist choices were the original song
by Bobby Freeman and the remake by The Beach Boys. Bobby Freeman's 1958 version peaked at #5 on June
9. The Beach Boys version peaked at #12 on April 9, 1965. This song was also released during the
60s decade by Del Shannon and The Mamas and Papas. The best version according to your
vote was Bobby Freeman's version who garnered 59% of the votes.
This week's competition is the song "Send Me The
Pillow You Dream On." The artists in competition are Dean Martin and Johnny Tillotson. As
always you can listen to each version before casting your vote. If
you haven't heard these versions for awhile I suggest take time to listen to them and then select the version you
enjoy the most.

First Choice: "Send Me The Pillow You Dream On"/Dean
Martin
Second Choice: "Send Me The Pillow You Dream ON"/Johnny Tillotson
